Among them, the crimp type is the most common and economical type, and they can be installed using copper crimp rings or stainless steel retaining rings. Expansion fittings require the use of special expansion tools and PEX sleeves for installation. Push-fit fittings do not require the use of any tools or rings to connect the pipes, but instead use a special composite mechanism to lock and seal the pipes. Snap-ring fittings require a snap-ring tool and a stainless steel snap ring to install. Threaded fittings require threaded connectors and sealing washers for installation.
